"Finding Hong Kong Stories" Picture Book Project
I was the project coordinator of the pre-trip seminars and foreign exchange Taiwan trip of the project. With creation of picture books about local history as the theme, visual art teachers of 7 schools got inspiration from a Taiwan picture book exchange tour. Back in the classroom, with the assistance from local illustrators (Li Heung Lan, Yan Pat To, Chan Kai Yan, Stella So) who are experienced in publishing, participating teachers and their students conducted oral history field trips in their respective communities. Lesson plans and Picture books were created and published with limited circulation. The image above is the project outcome (education kit) of an experimental visual art teaching design program.
